What a great afternoon
Deja Vu. I got to be a witness again. Let me tell you the story:
Chong Xiong and Xee Yang came in today to get their marraige license. They didn’t know what was going on here, but after the ladies told them about it, the two decided why not now. They came with just Xee’s father so they needed another witnesses and I was available. It’s such an honor to be a witness. My name will be on the marriage license forever. I wish them nothing but the best of luck.
Before the Xiongs said “I Do,” we all witnessed something very special with Debra and Scotty Starnes renewed their vows. What a great idea. Debra said she was thinking about it for a while, and thought Valentine’s Day was the perfect day and the Register of Deeds Office gave them a perfect opportunity. The couple technically won’t be married for 25 years until August, but Debra thought today was the best, and most affordable, opportunity. I wish them luck in their next 25 years.
We’re not done yet. There are four more weddings this afternoon. I’ll blog one more time after it’s all said and done. What a great day so far.
